How robotics is changing the world and why it is important?

DAY 26

What is Robotics?

Robotics are intersection of science, engineering and technology that produces machines, and substitute for human actions. It has a differing level of autonomy, ranging from human-controlled bots that carry out tasks that a human has full control over to fully-autonomous bots that perform tasks without any external influences.

How robotics is changing the world?

Robotics revolution is rapidly accelerating, as fast-paced technological advances in automation, engineering, energy storage, AI and machine learning converge. The results transform the capabilities of robots and their ability to require tasks once administered by humans. Robots are changing in mostly positive ways. Robots taking up some human jobs, but they also operate more efficiently, which, in turn, boosts economic activity, creating more opportunities for humans to seek out ways of generating income.

Why Robotics is important?

Robotics technology influences every aspect of labor and residential. Robotics has the potential to positively transform lives and work practices, raise efficiency and safety levels and supply enhanced levels of service. Even more, robotics is become the driving technology an entire new generation of autonomous devices through their learning capabilities, interact seamlessly with the world around them, and hence, provide between the digital and physical world.

What are the types of Robots?

Pre-Programmed Robots: Robots operate in a controlled environment where they do simple, monotonous tasks. The example of a pre-programmed robot would be a mechanical arm on an automotive assembly line. The arm serves one function to a door on, to insert a certain part into the engine, etc. and its job is to perform the task longer, faster and more efficiently than a person’s.

Humanoid Robots: Humanoid robots are robots that look like or imitate human behavior. These robots usually perform human-like activities (like running, jumping and carrying objects), and are designed of having human faces and expressions.

Autonomous Robots: Robots operate independently of human operators. These robots are usually designed to hold out tasks in open environments that don’t require human supervision. They are quite unique because they use sensors to perceive the world around them, and then employ decision-making structures to take the optimal based on their data and mission.

Teleoperated Robots: The teleoperated robots are semi-autonomous bots that use a wireless network to enable human control from a safe distance. These robots usually add extreme geographical conditions, weather, circumstances, etc.

Augmenting Robots: It enhance current human capabilities. The field of robotics for human augmentation may be a field where fantasy  become reality very soon, with bots that have the power to redefine the definition of humanity by making humans faster and stronger.

How Robots Will Change the world in the Future?

Robotic technology is continually evolving. Today, robots of all kinds are being designed to scale back workload, complement human skill sets and enable professionals to specialize in important activities. Robots are meant to form human life easier and offer an easier future. As technology advances and becomes cheaper, expect to ascertain changes and industries embracing robots and every one will do to spice up our standard of living.

What are the Benefits of using Robotics changing the world ?

Safety: Robots can handle heavy lifting of objects and work at extreme temperatures which helps make our places of work safer. The advantages which are seen in the manufacturing industry where humans can delegate the most dangerous work to smart robots while increasing productivity.

Speed: Robots can work incredibly quickly and with high precision, completing tasks that humans wouldn’t be ready to complete by themselves. Robots don’t require leave or holidays and that they never get tired. This makes them far superior to human workers.

Precision & consistency: With right coding and algorithms, robots can work with excellent precision allowing us to create perfectly shaped objects each and every time. They will always deliver quality work as long as they’re well-maintained.
