Description

ABSTRACT

This project is proposed to control the multilevel inverter using a digital signal processor (DSP). The controller used is TMS320F2812 DSP controller. This DSP processor generates pulse width modulation (PWM) signals. The PWM signals are applied to driver circuits and this driver circuit is used to isolate and amplify the pulses. This project is used to reduce switching losses and harmonics. The output waveform is displayed.

BLOCK DIAGRAM EXPLANATION

The block diagram of DSP based multilevel inverter is shown above. The DSP controller is used to produce the PWM signals. And the PWM signal is applied to the driver circuit. These driver circuits are used to isolate and amplify the PWM signals. The driver transformers are connected to the driver circuit.

This circuit has two inverters. And also inverter wants a power supply, so the power transformer is connected to the inverter board. The transformer ac supply is converted to dc supply by using a bridge rectifier with a filter. The inverters are used to convert the dc supply into ac supply. That ac supply is applied to the load.

Multilevel Inverter with DSP CONTROLLER

The TMS320F2812?DSP Controller is used to generating the PWM pulses for a three-phase inverter circuit.?The TMS320F2812 DSP Controller pulses are given to the driver circuit as input. The Driver board is mainly used to isolate and amplify the input signals from the controller. The amplified driver output is connected to the main power circuit devices. The ac supply is converted into dc by using a bridge rectifier. And the dc voltage is applied to the three-phase inverter circuit
